Apple App Store Now Showing Objectionable Material Warning Message – What A Joke

Apple now has a warning on apps that could have objectionable material. The funny thing is I got this warning from a RSS reader app.

It’s funny because: first, I select all the RSS feeds I want to view. So I already have choice in the material.

Secondly, RSS feeds are basically links to post on websites. So Apple is saying that there could be objectionable content on the Internet!! Really?? Thanks Apple.

Why don’t I get this warning when opening Safari? It should say, “Watch out there’s bad stuff out there.”

Apple is so terrified of giving wrong content to people. They’re obsessed with quality control.

Hopefully soon, Apple will give consent forms for when buying an Apple product from the Apple Store saying,

“Warning, the world can be a dangerous place. You may be robbed when exiting this store because your hip Apple product is so desirable, bad people will want to take it from you. Please be aware that your Apple product can likely get you on iTunes and provide you with music with explicit lyrics. Also be wary of online people called ‘spammers and scammers’ they will try to wrongfully make money from you. Apple is not responsible for any phishing scheme you fall victim to, for accidental arrival on porn sites, we do not provide services for secure online shopping be aware that not all online shops are legitimate companies. Lastly, please understand that any wrong that affects you is not Apple’s fault in any way, regardless if the wrong takes place on an Apple product. Remember, Apple is not liable so you cannot sue us. Enjoy your Apple product; we know you will. Please sign on the dotted line.”

Sound about right?
