Make Tagging Friends To Anything You Share On Facebook More Useful
Facebook just recently came out with a new feature called Mentions. Some users have jumped all over that feature and use it like crazy (like myself). Others have no idea it exist. But both groups don’t know how useful the feature is within the Facebook community.
A Quick Review Of What The Mentions Feature Is
Mentions is a way to tag someone to anything you want to share, being your status, a YouTube video, or a funny picture.
You do this by type @Their Name and Facebook automatically tags them. It’s that easy.
The tagged user will receive a notification that they have been tagged and your post will be visible on their “Wall” feed.
Make It Useful
First, you need to realize the potential of Mentions. Basically, you can share anything to any of your friends and they’ll get to see it instantly, they’ll get notified of it and it’ll be plastered on their Wall. This is like force-feeding your friend whatever you want them to see.
Now, that you realize that you can be your on distributor of info; you need to provide your friends with information they’ll like. Share interesting news articles, share funny music video, share a cool website, share software they’d like to try, share important family news an tag your whole family, and whatever else you think of.
This will help you stay connected and start some great conversations and overall interest your friends.
Now start mentioning!
